Regina Roman, Sugarman Rogers’ managing partner, has been appointed to serve for a four-year term on the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court. Regina has been the firm’s managing partner and a member of its Executive Committee for the past 14 years. Her legal practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage and appellate litigation. She was recently named 2013 Boston Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers. Regina frequently represents attorneys in professional liability matters and has extensive experience in cases involving law firm breakups, partnership disputes, fee disputes and disciplinary proceedings. Regina currently serves on the Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She also serves on the Boston Bar Association’s Ethics Committee, of which she was Chair from 2007-2011, and is a past Co-Chair of the BBA’s Professional Liability Committee. Regina is a graduate of Brown University and earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School. |
