She advises and represents clients in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, real estate, health care, insurance, and professional service industries, as well as clients in the government space. In her business practice, Andrea counsels and represents businesses and business owners in matters involving contract disputes and alleged violations of consumer protection statutes, including consumer class actions. She also drafts contracts and conducts contract reviews for clients with an eye toward protecting their key interests and managing risks. In her product liability practice, Andrea defends manufacturers and retailers in litigation involving the design and manufacture of consumer goods, including power tools, electrical equipment, lawn-and-garden equipment, and automotive components. Andrea has appeared before state and federal courts, in Massachusetts, throughout New England, and beyond, in cases involving catastrophic injuries and significant property damage. She has established productive long-term working relationships with a number of clients through representing them in litigation spanning several years and multiple jurisdictions. In her employment practice, Andrea serves both as adviser and advocate. She provides training and counsels business clients on developing robust workplace policies and practices to minimize risk of litigation. For years she was responsible for the firm’s longtime representation of a national civil-rights organization in a housing discrimination matter. She has advocated for a high school teacher disciplined for political speech, and has acted on behalf of a high school student in need of special-education services. Andrea serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Product Liability practice group. |
