Partner Lisa Goodheart, who chairs the Court Management Advisory Board (CMAB), was recently quoted in the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly article “Courts urged to pick up pace on deploying data” after delivering the CMAB’s 2017 annual report “Building on the Past and Investing in the Future” (which can be found here). The article focused on the work of a special visiting committee that was organized by the CMAB and charged with assessing the current state of the Trial Court’s use of data in the management of its operations, and making recommendations for improvements in this area. “One of the things the visiting committee was pleased to see, ironically, is a healthy level of dissatisfaction with the current state of managing with data, because that dissatisfaction reflects an appreciation of what can be accomplished with some improvements in this area,” said Goodheart. The CMAB was established by statute and is composed of members appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court. Learn more about the CMAB’s 2017 annual report, here.
