Sugarman Rogers partner Lisa Goodheart, chair of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Court Management Advisory Board, recently spoke with Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly about what the paper called her “key but obscure” board: “Goodheart says that while the CMAB takes seriously its status as an ‘independent group,’ it is open to serving as a ‘trusted sounding board’ and receiving guidance from the courts as to the challenges and issues it would like to see explored in more depth. But members of the legal community and beyond are also encouraged to serve as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the CMAB, alerting the board to certain management or administrative issues that may be just the ‘tip of an iceberg,’ Goodheart says.” “’I think there was a period of time when the CMAB flew under the radar screen, and we now very consciously want to be more visible, more public.’” Click here to read the full article.
