Sugarman Rogers is pleased to announce that partner John O’Neill has been invited to serve on the Boston Bar Association‘s Ethics Committee. A three-year commitment, John’s term begins September 1, 2022. The Committee’s primary responsibility is to offer ethics-related programming to BBA members. It also reviews opportunities to comment on court rules and BBA policy matters like amicus briefs or proposed legislation. The Committee will also sometimes offer informal and formal opinions on ethics matters brought by BBA members. John focuses his practice on business litigation, insurance coverage, and professional liability matters, including defense of disciplinary matters. His extensive professional liability experience and prior service as a disciplinary-hearing officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers make him well suited to be a member of the BBA Ethics Committee. John is also a director of the Massachusetts Insurance and Reinsurance Bar Association and previously served as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Insurance and Reinsurance Committee. |
