Tony Agudelo wins dismissal of case against nightclub |
Date: October 31, 2016 |
Case Report |
Anthony V. Agudelo |
Sugarman Rogers partner Tony Agudelo has won the dismissal of a liquor-liability case against a Massachusetts nightclub. The plaintiff claimed that a single-car highway accident that resulted in the deaths of both the driver and the sole passenger was caused by the club’s service of alcohol to the driver earlier that evening. The superior court granted summary judgment for Tony’s client, agreeing that the evidence was insufficient to show that the club had continued to serve the driver after he was visibly intoxicated. |
